Unexpectedness

I can't even believe it, he was so young.

May 27th, 2009, TJ Waite was killed while riding his motorcycle. I went through band with this guy, he was so talented and so charming. I'm definitely going to miss him. I just cannot believe it happened to quickly. It's amazing how surprising life can be, for the better AND for the worse.

I don't feel like myself today. I probably won't until next week when all the sadness is over. This weather matches, overcast and grey.

This might sound terribly cliche, but cherish everyone in your life and befriend your enemies. You never know who could be taken abruptly and the last thing you want is to feel regret for never having made peace.

Neglect

I'm getting worse at updating, eeeek!

So like, I'm currently in the midst of finals week and I cannot wait to be done. I need summer and breakage from chaos right away.

My parents don't believe I have rigorous finals. They think I'm not studying when I'm locked up in my room... WHAT?!

Crazies, I swear.

Smee's wedding is in like, 3 months. That's insanity. I foresee many updates around then because I'm going to need an outlet for frustration.

And of course, the happiness! :D

Stats is calling my name and I can't find my phone, hahaha.

Peaceeeeee.

Chaotic Commentary

I haven't updated in forever, I know, but for a quick recap:

Costa Rica was AMAZING
My birthday was FANTASTIC
Kevin Rudolf was LEGENDARY.

I had a good month of April so far, and it's not over yet! Yay!

I definitely need to upload pictures from my adventures. I'll do that, eventually...

This upcoming week is going to be crazy. I have tests, papers, projects to get done. Plus, Smee's birthday is on Tuesday. She's going to be 25. HOW OLD! Hahaha, I kid.

It's like 4:30 am, I don't even know why I'm conscious at this hour.

Goodnight, sweetpeas!

Belated Bliss

Words are:
a weapon of mass distruction
more potent than the Nascar of arms
able to extract emotions effortlessly
able to construct the mood
the atmosphere
the tone
able to paint the perfect picture
sculpt the perfect figure
draw the perfect lines
more so than actual artists can
but if words attempted to paint
this picture
this picture I view before me
the textual work wouldn't even come close
to this
phenomenon.
indescribable is how I'll describe it
unforgettable is how I'll remember it
surreal is how I'll dream about it
Pura vida?
Sí, pura vida para siempre.

19th Anniversary

WHY YES, IT IS INDEED MY BIRTHDAY!

I had an AMAZING pre-birthday festivity with Dinali and Unj. Dinner at Mimi's with a not-so-surprising surprise, "I Love You, Man" and all its awkwardness, Unjalee making the whole movie theater sing, hugging random drunken guys who can't tell the difference between Indian and Middle Eastern, getting amazing desserts at Denny's and getting the WHOLE restaurant to sing all make for a LEGENDARY night. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to begin my day.

And for today's agenda: shopping for Costa Rica, dinner in Venice, airport, Costa Rica. ;D

I am in permanent euphoria.

Goooooooooooooodnight, world, and thank you for being so damn fabulous! :D

I must have done something right because my Karma has been treating me far too well lately.

Sweet Desires

I had an amazing evening, one definitely needed after such a horrible day yesterday. I seriously miss my ethnic posse sooo much. It was good to see their beautiful faces once more before they ship back off to school. I can't wait for the summer when they come here for a while; we're SO beaching it every single day, hahaha.

Yesterday was a disaster, though. School was blah in itself and then I come home to learn that my dad needs to make another trip to the hospital. Cancer is such a depressing phenomenon. I really hope my dad recovers soon, I love him too much to lose him. But thanks to my amazing friends, my mood improved today. I love it when people can do that.

Food for thought: never lose your good friends and family; they're your support and your guide when you can't seem to be.
